What to Expect on Your First Visit
Your first visit to our Madison office typically takes 45–60 minutes. We want to take the time to truly get to know you, your health history, and your goals — because the best chiropractic care starts with truly listening.
Paperwork & Health History
You'll fill out our new patient paperwork covering your current complaints, past health history, family history, lifestyle, and goals. To save time, you can also complete these forms online before your visit using the link we'll email you after you schedule.
Consultation
Dr. Browning will sit down with you one-on-one to discuss your health concerns, what you've tried so far, and what you hope to achieve through chiropractic care. This is your time to share your story and ask any questions.
Comprehensive Examination
A thorough chiropractic examination will be performed, including postural assessment, spinal range of motion, neurological and orthopedic tests, and any necessary digital X-rays (taken on-site for your convenience).
Report of Findings
On your second visit, Dr. Browning will review her findings with you, explain what they mean in clear, easy-to-understand language, and recommend a personalized care plan designed specifically for your goals.
Your First Adjustment
If appropriate, you may receive your first gentle chiropractic adjustment at this visit (or the first, depending on the case). Most patients feel immediate relief; some experience mild soreness that resolves within 24 hours.
How to Prepare
- Arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete any remaining paperwork
- Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing
- Bring a list of any current medications or supplements
- Bring any recent imaging reports (X-rays, MRIs) if available
- Write down any questions you'd like to ask the doctor
- Plan to be in our office for about an hour
